Rain-soaked wood, garden materials and damp boards are prone to sticking during screening. If you only replace the screen with a larger mesh, you may sacrifice the particle size of the finished product, but it does not solve the problem of too thick feed or too much sediment.
Material characteristics
- Pallets, furniture boards, construction lumber and garden branches vary widely in size, wood species, moisture content and metal attachments.
- Nails, corners, sand, plastics and coatings can affect wear, magnetic separation and the use of the finished product.
- Pelletizing, fuel, board raw materials and volume reduction external sales correspond to different wood chip particle size, fine powder and moisture content requirements.
Key processing challenges
- The wet fine powder adheres to the large wood chips and screen surface, reducing the effective opening.
- The long fibers span the holes, causing too much material on the screen.
- Storage accumulation and rainfall cause continuous changes in moisture content.
Equipment-selection criteria
- Determine the feed inlet, conveying and anti-bridging design based on the largest wooden parts, stacking method and forklift or gripper loading.
- Check the allowable boundaries of cutters, low-speed drives and metal parts containing nailed wood, and set appropriate magnetic separation positions.
- Secondary crushing, screening, iron removal, dust removal and storage solutions are deduced from the end use.
Typical process flow
Starting from zoning storage and rain protection of incoming materials, control the conveying material layer, and remove sediment if necessary. After crushing, a screening method suitable for wet materials is adopted, and sampling is used to determine whether the deviation is caused by the screen holes, feed materials or material status.
