The production of rubber granules and rubber powder does not mean continuously narrowing the sieve holes. The finer the particle size, the more attention is paid to rubber temperature rise, fiber dissociation, dust and specific energy consumption. The purpose of the product should be clarified first, and then the number of equipment sections and cyclic load should be determined.
Material characteristics
- The outer diameter, tire width, rubber thickness and steel wire structure of car tires, truck and bus tires, agricultural tires and engineering tires vary greatly.
- Rubber has high elasticity and high friction. The beads and cord wires will increase the shear load and affect subsequent separation.
- Coarse broken blocks, rubber blocks without steel wire, rubber granules and rubber powder correspond to different crushing stages and sorting requirements.
Key processing challenges
- The temperature rise of fine crushing will affect the rubber state and equipment stability.
- Fibers and fine steel wires need to be gradually released at the appropriate particle size.
- Too high a proportion of recycled materials will increase energy consumption and amplify fine powder.
Equipment-selection criteria
- Use the largest tire allowed by the system as the boundary to determine whether drawing, loop cutting, strip cutting or other pre-processing is required.
- According to the target product, the shredding stages, tool maintenance methods, screening, magnetic separation and fiber separation configurations are deduced.
- Evaluate low-speed torque, overload protection, reversal logic, and continuous feeding capabilities rather than just comparing motor power.
Typical process flow
After the steel-wire-free rubber blocks are crushed, screened and fiber separated, qualified materials are collected and oversized materials are returned to the corresponding equipment. When producing rubber powder, finer grinding and temperature control are required, as well as effective dust collection.
