The difficulty in processing large-diameter PE pipes, solid-wall pipes and thick plates mainly comes from the cross-section, wall thickness and length. If we only look at the material as PE, it is easy to underestimate the impact of pipe wall rebound, long material swing and local thick material on material bite. The feeding strategy should be determined together with the on-site lifting and sawing conditions.
Material characteristics
- Incoming plastic materials often have differences in size, wall thickness, toughness and packing density. The difficulty of processing cannot be judged just by the name of the resin.
- Labels, sediment, metal accessories, oil and moisture content can affect tool wear, cleaning load and finished product quality.
- Volume reduction, external sales, cleaning and granulation, and reuse production have different requirements for discharge size, cleanliness, and fine powder ratio.
Key processing challenges
- Extra-long pipes occupy the loading space and affect the safety of personnel and equipment when swinging.
- The round tube has few contact points. If the angle between the pressing material and the tool is not appropriate, it will easily roll in the hopper.
- When the wall thickness and pipe diameter span are large, the driving load and discharge size fluctuate significantly.
Equipment-selection criteria
- First determine the maximum single piece size, shape and feeding method, and then check the hopper, feed port, pressing structure and conveying rhythm.
- Select the tool structure, driving mode and whether to configure the screen according to the goal of primary volume reduction or subsequent fine crushing, and do not blindly pursue the production of fine materials at one time.
- Use normal incoming materials and extreme incoming materials to test the materials together, record the bite, current, discharging and winding conditions, and then confirm the continuous operation configuration.
Typical process flow
The whole directional feeding, hydraulic cutting or sawing pre-treatment can be set up on site according to the pipe diameter. The strips shredded in the first stage then enter the crusher with a screen to obtain a size suitable for cleaning, sorting or granulation.
